Sparrow Trap - Multi Capture

This is a simple and effective way of reducing the sparrow population on our property. We call them mice with wings. They are a real nuisance. The trap works extremely well well and there is no need for time consuming methods. Very pleased with the design and quality. Highly recommended.

It works well.. i have used it a week and catch anywhere from 3 to 9 being my best in a day.

This live-capture trap is absolutely fantastic in catching sparrows.
The simplistic design works very well as opposed to other designed traps that require setting and rely on the bird to activate and be captured.
Sparrows have been steadily building up in numbers over the past few years and the resulting dust-bathing in seed rows and shredding anything green has resulted in drastic measures - this trap!
Since purchasing the trap 10 days ago, I've captured 88 sparrows and still counting.
The beauty of this live-capture trap is the ability to release non-target species unharmed. Species caught and released to date include Starlings, Hedge Sparrows, Greenfinches and Waxeyes.
Friends are queuing up to borrow this trap when (and if) I'm finished with it. It's brilliant!

Cage works very well.
Wished I got 2.
But didn't know if it would work.

Just wished the wire was smaller so they can't stick there heads out.

A lot of money and postage to Australia.

I was a bit reticent about purchasing this trap as the freight from NZ to Oz puts the price right up there, and I'd already had a fail with another company's product HOWEVER I'm very glad I took a chance. I've been using it just under a week and have caught 13 sparrows (and a blue tongue lizard, easily released!). The sliding door makes for easy access to the trap chamber, and the quality is good. I'm aware of 3 birds that got away, but so far the odds are in my favour. I would like to see a slightly smaller mesh so birds can't stick their heads through, but that's a minor criticism. Highly recommended.
